Andrew Chong

Reporting directly to the Vice President and General Manager of CGT U.S. Limited and a dotted functional reporting line to the Vice President of Global Innovations.

I have regional responsibility for Product Development Innovations to CGT U.S. Limited supplied markets and Operations. I also have North American responsibility for Automotive Program Management.

What keeps me motivated to come to work every day is the people and team here at CGT U.S. Limited. We have a teamwork mentality and a focus on collaboration. We work hard, but like to have fun too. I have always been involved in the Product Development side of the business even as early as 2007 when I was a Co-op student. I joined CGT in a full-time capacity in 2012 as a Product Development Specialist focusing on Automotive Seating applications.

After 4 years at CGT Headquarters handling the Ford and Toyota OEM accounts, in late 2016 I was promoted to Product Development Manager and was selected as part of the launch team to kick start the greenfield plant of CGT U.S. Limited in New Braunfels, Texas.

Late 2018 marked the advancement to my current role as Technical Director, where I lead the technical team in driving excellence for CGT U.S. Limited supplied markets.

With 8 years of technical experience at CGT and previous R&D experience at Xerox and Vale Inco, I can help lead you in the right direction!

I can teach you how to make our products, but I can't teach you "Attitude". Come in with an open mind and a willingness to learn and there will be no limits to what you can accomplish here at CGT!
